I didn’t play D&D until I was 37

I didn’t play D&D until I was 37. That means I missed decades of:
➔ Rolling chaotic characters ➔ Going on wild quests ➔ Laughing so hard I almost peed (ok, maybe I peed a little) ➔ Discovering who I really am (and loving her)
I think about it a lot. Not with regret. With curiosity.
What kind of rogue would teenage me have played? Would I have stopped second-guessing myself sooner if I’d practiced being bold in a safe, silly world?
Would I have asked for what I needed a little louder? A little sooner?
I’ll never know.
But I do know this: It wasn’t until I found people who felt safe and finally started feeling safe being myself that I said yes.
And everything changed.
➔ I got to be silly. ➔ I got to be brave. ➔ I got to speak up. ➔ I found my people.
And I’ve never stopped. I mean…my whole coaching business is inspired by it!
Life’s too f’n short to not be who you are. Too short to not do what lights you up.
Whether it’s D&D or dance class or dyeing your hair purple or texting that friend, please don’t wait.
The party doesn’t start without you. And the quest is way more fun with your weird, brilliant energy in it.
Your Chaotic Good Challenge: This week, commit to saying HELL YES to something you’ve always wanted to try.
Bonus points if it feels awkward, dorky, or … a little too late.
Weird joy is still joy. Late bloomers bloom BIG. And fun is rebellion. 💥
Go get it.
Til the next adventure,
Autumn
